The increase in the minimum wage in 2023 is far below what it should be for Brazilians to be able to live with dignity.
At least that is what the Inter-Union Department of Statistics and Socioeconomic Studies (Dieese) points out in its research.
The value of the minimum wage should be R$ 6,575.30, to cover the basic needs of Brazilians.
