BDMG Reduces Interest Rate for Micro and Small Entrepreneurs

The Development Bank of Minas Gerais (BDMG) carries out an action in the month in which Women's Day is celebrated, facilitating access to credit for enterprising of micro and small enterprises (MSEs).

The initial interest rate of the Empreendedoras de Minas line – which in October of last year had already been reduced from 1.13% to 0.95% per month – will be 0.80% in March.

The financing can be paid in up to 48 fixed installments, with a grace period of up to three months. “These rate reductions reinforce BDMG's commitment to supporting female entrepreneurship in Minas Gerais with more accessible credit.

Focused on working capital, BDMG's Empreendedoras de Minas line was launched in March 2018. Since then, R$ 61 million – R$ 32.5 million in 2019 alone – have been disbursed to 1,814 companies located in more than 291 municipalities in Minas Gerais.

Minas Gerais companies with female shareholding equal to more than 50% of the share capital, for at least six months, can access credit.

To make the contract, entrepreneurs can make a simulation quickly and without bureaucracy through the BDMG Digital platform. Therefore available on the bank's website: www.bdmg.mg.gov.br, or look for the various bank correspondents present in all regions of the state.

In all, six lines of credit now operate with reduced interest rates, with initial rates lower than 1% per month. The lines are for micro and small companies with revenues up to R$ 4.8 million, and the credit request limit is R$ 480 thousand.

“In line with the objective of inducing the State's economic development, we have reduced rates to even more competitive levels in a moment.

This being the end of the year demands and the planning of its business for the coming year”, explains the bank's president, Sergio Gusmão.
