B3, the main index of the Brazilian stock exchange, closed higher this Friday (28), after two significant drops during the week, against the backdrop of the expansion of the coronavirus and fears about its impacts on the global economy. The dollar continued to rise for the eighth session in a row, closing the week at R$ 4.48. The Ibovespa rose 1.15%, to 104,171 points.
As of Thursday, the stock had dropped 2,59%, to 102,983 points.
This week, the Ibovespa index accumulated losses of 8.37%. Configuring the worst result since the week that ended on August 5, 2011, according to Economatica.
In the year, the Ibovespa accumulated a fall of 9.92% and, in the month, the decline reached 8.43%. And during this Friday, the index had losses of more than 2% and only reversed direction in the late afternoon.
