The city of Gramado, in Rio Grande do South, now it will win the title of National Capital of Handmade Chocolate.
The delicious delicacy in itself is an attraction, however, when stating this, as there are countless destination themed stores, for all tastes and budgets.
In such a way that the Senate approved this Tuesday (11) the Bill (PL) 4.675/2019, which grants the title to the municipality of Rio Grande do Sul.
As a result, the proposal goes to presidential sanction.
The production
Located in Serra Gaúcha, in the Hortênsias Region, according to the municipality of Gramado, it receives, annually, more than six million visitors.

Pioneering spirit
The pioneer in this sector was Jaime Prawer. The then entrepreneur opened the first Prawer chocolate shop in 1976.

This is one of those pleasant and sweet subjects that doesn't need much argument, because anyone who goes to Gramado inevitably buys artisanal chocolate.
The city has been characterized for years by the production of chocolate, explains Senator Lasier Martins (Podemos-RS), who gave a favorable opinion to the measure in the Commission.
Senator Luis Carlos Heinze (PP-RS) highlighted that the city is a major development hub in the region and meanwhile thanked the city in Rio Grande do Sul for the homage.
The coffee shop, which is already a point of reference in Gramado, recently opened a branch in Cinnamon, in the commercial complex Estação Campos de Canella.
The menu includes sweets, coffees and ice cream based on the brand's main product.
