The Secretary of Works and Housing, José Stédile, signed an emergency contract term for carrying out works at the Érica Marques State Basic Education School, in Terra de Areia, on the North Coast gaucho. Although R$ 498,042 will be invested in the renovation. Thus, the school serves 800 students and has been banned since August last year.
The refurbishment will cover blocks of the Secondary School, the Administrative department, the Elementary School, in addition to the execution of the new sewage system and the new entrance of electric energy.
Works and Education
“As such, the work represents everything for the school community”, summarized director Vivian Vieira dos Santos. She says that, since the interdiction, classes have been held in a rented space close to the school. “Our institution is a reference in the municipality, but we were losing several students due to the situation”, he added.
Secretary José Stédile recalled the joint work between the Works and Education secretariats. “We replaced the previous company that had started the renovation. Once the pendency has been overcome, we will demand excellence and speed from the new person responsible for the services”, he highlighted. Meanwhile in reference to the company Elétrica Energy Ltda., based in Santa Rosa, which will take over the works. The renovation is expected to be completed within 180 days.
Above all, the Regional Coordination Offices for Public Works are responsible for carrying out, through the technical sector, inspection works, execution of new public coastal works, expansion, adaptation, conservation, recovery and improvement of public buildings owned, assigned or rented by the administration state public.
