emerging professions

This is how the research ranked the 15 emerging professions in Brazil and, of this total, 13 are directly related to IT or the internet.

Fabrício Fávaro, managing director of ITMaster, a company of the Globalsys group, says that the sector has grown over the years and is also very hot in Espírito Santo.

“The market is always looking for IT professionals here in the state, mainly in the development area. Our company has contact with colleges to qualify the training of these professionals.

Therefore, the demand for this professional is very high, not only here, but throughout the country there is a great search for people who work in the IT sector”, he says.

Tito Fideles, financial director at Madan, an institution focused on preparatory courses, says that there has been an increase in interest in courses related to technology and the internet.

“It is a global phenomenon. These are the sectors that involve digital technology. We are in the digital era, which evolves quickly and creates new positions, professions and, consequently, the interest in them in the labor market.

Therefore, the greatest demand for courses is for Medicine and Engineering, which continue to be the highest cut-off points. Within engineering we were able to notice a greater deviation for Computing. At some universities, such as ITA, programming disciplines have become part of the curriculum of all engineering disciplines”, he says.

According to Zirlene Effgen, coordinator of the Information Technology courses at the UCL Faculty, the demand cited by Fideles is due to the high employability of the IT area.

IT students

“However, our third period students are practically all doing internships. This is difficult to happen, just compare with other courses. IT students don't graduate without being employed.

However, in the seventh or eighth period, they are already competing for jobs. The development areas are areas that absorb a lot of our students. Although in great demand. Several areas were affected as a result of the crisis, but the IT area remained and employability did not drop”, he comments.
