The minimum salary for teachers who teach students from the 1st to the 5th year of elementary school will be R$ 2,886.24. Before, it was a value of R$ 2577.74. As for teachers of students in the final years of elementary and high school, it will increase from R$ 2,585.01 to the same R$ 2,886.24, provided for by law.
The impact on the budget will be no less than R$ 560 million. The new values will come into effect from March, with retroactive payment from January.
