With the community present, the Municipal Government of Valparaíso de Goiás, through the chief executive, Mayor Pábio Mossoró, authorized this Monday (02/17), the start of infrastructure works for the Araruama neighborhood.
The action allocates just over three million for earthworks, paving, curbs and drainage. There will be 3,000 meters of asphalt, 6,000 of curbs and all the drainage of rainwater, to adequately contain the rain. The expectation is that everything will be completed in 7 months.
Planned Works
In a speech, Mayor Pábio Mossoró spoke about the historic day for the Araruama neighborhood. “Today we reap the fruit of the serious work of the Infrastructure Secretariat in Valparaíso de Goiás. Every work has to be done with planning, here, it was no use just passing the asphalt, a complete work was necessary, with galleries and paving.
We will deliver 100% in the paved neighborhood to the community, and we will also allocate two plots of land for the construction of a square and sports court for the youth's leisure. Merit from the community that fought and believed”, completed Pábio.
Regarding investment, Pastor Iranildo, in a speech, reported that the community had been clamoring for improvements for years. “This population has been suffering for 30 years, but God raised serious people to do the job and bring dignity and citizenship to this people. We thank God first and then Mayor Pábio and his team. It is a unique and unique joy this moment that we finally see something happen here”.
Bidding Process
According to the Infrastructure, Housing and Urban Services secretary, Antônio Reis, the program also allocates funds to the Ipanema and Pacaembu neighborhoods. In addition, the mayor also announced that the bidding process for works in the Ipiranga neighborhood, awarded with almost five million, will be carried out in the next few days.
Federal deputy Célio Silveira also left a message for residents. “This community has been waiting for this work for many years and it arrives under the efficient management of Mayor Pábio. Therefore, of the three million, one million five hundred thousand reais is the result of my amendments and my commitment to this municipality of Valparaíso de Goiás”.
Although so far, Célio Silveira has already earmarked almost 200 million for paving works, for renovations of health units, purchases of vehicles and machinery and for funding the Municipal Cataract Surgery Program. “The works are taking place in all districts of the municipality and my job is to bring resources to continue advancing”, pointed out Célio.
