What was the accusation?
Initially, everyone was accused of murder by the MPE. In 2021, they were sentenced by a jury to prison terms ranging from 18 to 22 years.
Due to non-compliance with the rules for establishing judicial councils, the State Court of Justice invalidated the sentence and terminated the prison sentence in August last year.
Therefore, the State Public Prosecutor's Office appealed, hoping that everyone would be arrested again. In other words, the MPE is still fighting against impunity in this case that saddened the country.

“We close on the 27th, ten years since this senseless tragedy.
And, unfortunately, a definitive answer to this process was not given to society and, above all, to the families and loved ones of the deceased victims. Not counting those who remain with sequelae,” he said.
