Study says Europe has already surpassed 100,000 deaths from coronavirus

While many people in Brazil do not believe in the dangers of the Coronavirus, in terms of our health, Europe already registers a frightening number of people who have lost their lives, but will this get worse?

The study by Johns Hopkins said this Sunday, April 19, that Europe has already passed the mark of 100,000 deaths from Covid-19, the disease caused by the new coronavirus.

According to the survey, in all, 100,881 people lost their lives in the pandemic on European soil.

Becoming one of the main centers of the pandemic, Europe also surpassed the mark of 1 million cases: there are 1,083,583 infections, according to the last update of the university, around 11:20 am this Sunday.

Coronavirus – death across Europe

Another country that has suffered horrors from the coronavirus is Italy, which has the highest death toll, in all there are 23,227. Spain is at (20,453), France (19,349), UK (16,095) and Belgium (5,683).

The French Prime Minister, Édouard Philippe, said in an official statement that the situation in the country is starting to improve, but “slowly”, however, he warned that the crisis is far from over. The number of hospitalized people has been falling for days, but there were new hospitalizations in the country. The country intends to start relaxing some confinement measures from May 11th.

Other European countries have been studying strategies to lift quarantine measures. In Denmark, for example, schools from nursery to elementary school reopened this week.

However, we have Spain, a terrible scenario. The government intends to ask for a further extension of the quarantine, until May 9.

According to the federal government's proposal, children up to 12 years old will be able to leave the house, on time, from April 27th.

To clarify the population, the prime minister, Pedro Sánchez, announced that the relaxation of the measures will be done gradually, by zones, based on the level of contagion.
