As of 2020, the industry will generate 1,200 jobs, without a doubt the industrial government and Ambev, and after the start of production, another 3,400 jobs.
This Monday morning (16), the Governor of Pará, Helder Barbalho, however, met with businessmen of a brewery for the expansion of the sector in the State and industrial government.
Currently, Pará has two breweries and the new proposal is for the third to begin installation projects in 2020.
Project Implementation
The Secretary of State for Development, mining and energy, Iran Lima, also participated in the meeting to assess the economic conditions for implementing the project.
According to Ricardo Melo, vice president of corporate relations at Ambev, the business proposal meeting was positive and should be approved soon.
With the construction of the new brewery, 1.2 thousand new jobs will be offered during the construction phase and another 3.4 thousand vacancies when it is fully operational.
“Every product we distribute and sell in Pará comes from 13 breweries throughout Brazil.
The idea then is to have a brewery in the state, produce the product here and export to other states. The meeting was very positive and we are in agreement”, highlighted Ricardo Melo.
Expand Market
According to Iran Lima, secretary of Sedeme, “the entire market in Pará today is supplied by neighboring states, so, with an industrial government, the opening of a brewery in the state could expand a market that Pará has not yet dominated, bringing more development. economy for the northern region of the country”.
“It is an important proposal for the State because it is an industry. The entire system of economic activity generates more jobs and Pará stops importing products from other states.
We started to have a new production opening up the possibility of us selling to other locations”. Iran Lima – Sedeme.
The proposal is under negotiation of tax incentives. The new brewery should produce 2 billion liters per year, with investments of R$ 300 million for its construction.
