Markets fall again and bovespa has a retreat of 4.46% on 03/23/2020

This Monday morning (23), the Ibovespa, the main index of the Brazilian stock exchange, had a decrease of 4.46%, at 64,075.07 points.

Around the world, markets fall again amid the measures adopted by countries to combat the coronavirus. Stock market dropped 4,46% this morning.

The commercial dollar was trading high from 0.91% to R$ 5.073 on the sell. And the European stock markets operated again in low.

Last Friday (20th), the Ibovespa dropped by 1.85%, to 67,069.36 points. Accumulated a loss of 18,88% in the week. It was their worst weekly result since October 2008.

This morning in the United States, index futures pointed to yet another session of losses. Asian stocks closed lower, with China's stock indices falling to the lowest level in the last 13 months.

In Brazil, this Monday, the Central Bank reduced the reserve requirement rate on time resources from 25% to 17%. The release forecast of R$ 68 billion in the economy is for from March 30th.

Faced with the spread of the coronavirus pandemic around the world and the sequence of deaths, several countries are applying restrictive measures in an attempt to cushion the damage and stop the spread of the disease.

Another point weighing on the markets is the failure of the US Congress on Sunday (22) which failed to approve the plan to mobilize around US$2 trillion to help the US economy. Republicans and Democrats were unable to reach an agreement on the first ballot.

Dollar operates at a high of 2.07%, to R$ 5.1299; Bovespa operates at a drop of 6.46%; the New York stock exchange (Dow Jones): operates at a fall of 3.83%, London the stock exchange operates at a fall of 4.06%. The Madrid Stock Exchange has fallen by 4.04%. Paris dropped 3.68%, the Frankfurt stock exchange dropped 2.83%. The Singapore stock exchange closed down by 7.35%. sydney exchange also closed down at 5,62%. In Tokyo, the stock market ended at a high of 2.02%. The Shanghai stock exchange closed with a drop of 3.11% and the Seoul one with a drop of 5.34%.
