In Minas, government creates Management Committee against coronavirus

Some of the measures of the Management Committee are the suspension of classes and the work of servers in areas with a high rate of contagion of the coronavirus.

This Sunday (15), the governor of Minas Gerais, Romeu Zema published in the Official Gazette of the state, a decree that creates the Management Committee of the Plan for Prevention and Contingency in Health of Covid-19. Together with the Committee, he expanded the actions of bodies and entities of the state administration in preventing and combating the coronavirus pandemic.

In all schools of the state network, school recess is being implemented from Wednesday 18th to Sunday 22nd March. The government points out that so far there is no community contagion scenario and that the measures are aimed at reducing the impacts of the pandemic in the future.

Among other decisions of the decree is the suspension of the work of servers who have been in places with a high transmission rate of the coronavirus. The measure is valid for 14 days, in case the server shows symptoms of the disease. Or for seven days if there are no symptoms.

During this period, it is recommended that the professional stay at home and work remotely, if conditions exist. If it is not possible, the absences will be paid. In both cases, there will be no loss of meal allowance or food.

The governor stressed that there is no reason to panic and that the measures being adopted are preventive. “All of this is part of a set of actions to safeguard the health of all miners and protect our citizens. Prevention will always be the best medicine”, said Zema.

Bodies and entities will implement actions recommended by public health bodies, such as prophylaxis, asepsis, health and information measures in relation to the coronavirus.
