BNDES Finame

objective

Financing the production and acquisition of national machinery and equipment accredited by BNDES.

Process
In general terms, the simplified flow of financing follows the following steps, with some variations, depending on the line:

  1. The interested party chooses the machine or equipment that he wants to acquire and checks if the item appears in the list of equipment financed by BNDES Finame. You can check this in the BNDES website.
  2. The interested party seeks an accredited financial agent and requests the financing of the equipment/machine. Financial agents are financial institutions authorized to transfer BNDES resources, they can be commercial banks, development banks, development agencies or credit cooperatives, etc.
  3. The financial agent analyzes the request and the financial situation of the interested party and, if it approves the operation, forwards the request for financing to the BNDES.
  4. The BNDES evaluates the request, observes whether it complies with the rules and, if so, authorizes the financing.
  5. The agent authorizes the authorized manufacturer or distributor to deliver the machine or equipment to the buyer/financer.
  6. The manufacturer or authorized distributor delivers the machine or equipment to the purchaser.
  7. BNDES transfers the amount to be financed to the financial agent (upon request and presentation of the invoice).
  8. The financial agent transfers the amount to the equipment manufacturer or authorized distributor.

BNDES FGI

Warranty for your business

The BNDES FGI aims to facilitate the obtaining of credit by micro, small and medium-sized companies, as well as individual entrepreneurs, and self-employed truck drivers, thus encouraging them to grow and modernize.

When asking for credit, smaller companies and entrepreneurs often find it difficult to meet the guarantees required by financial institutions. Such difficulties often make it impossible to contract the desired financing, or lead to the approval of financing under less favorable conditions than ideal, considering variables such as grace and amortization periods, interest rate and down payment.

It is in this scenario that BNDES FGI fits. By complementing the guarantees offered by the companies, the BNDES FGI increases the chances of approval of credit applications, being, therefore, a real alternative to support the growth ambitions of these companies. In addition, the BNDES FGI guarantee, as it is well evaluated by financial institutions, also allows them to approve financing under better conditions, for example: with longer terms, lower down payment requirements and even with lower interest rates.

Support for micro, small and medium-sized companies, for example, is considered a priority by the BNDES, offering special conditions with the main aim of facilitating these companies' access to credit.

The size classification is performed according to the companies' Gross Operating Revenue (GOR) or according to the annual income of individual customers.

CLASSIFICATION GROSS ANNUAL OPERATING REVENUE OR ANNUAL INCOME

  • Microenterprise Less than or equal to R$ 360 thousand;
  • Small company Greater than R$ 360 thousand and less than or equal to R$ 4.8 million;
  • Medium company Greater than R$ 4.8 million and less than or equal to R$ 300 million;
  • Big company Bigger than R$ 300 million.

Observation: when the company is part of an economic group, the size classification will consider the consolidated ROB of the group. Direct public administration entities are not classified by size and, for the purposes of financial conditions, are equated with large companies.

how to apply

The client can request financing directly from BNDES (direct support) or through accredited financial institutions (indirect support). The form of support depends on the purpose and amount of the funding. In indirect support, the BNDES' partner financial institutions act as intermediaries in granting the financing, assuming the credit risk (risk of non-payment by the client) in whole or in part. As the BNDES does not have branches, indirect support allows its resources to reach clients in all municipalities in Brazil through financial institutions.

In general, all financing operations for the isolated purchase of machinery and equipment are carried out in the form of indirect support, as well as financing of less than R$ 10 million intended for projects for the implementation, modernization and expansion of projects. Financing in excess of R$ 10 million can be applied for directly with BNDES.

But watch out: BNDES does not recognize or accredit consultants (individuals or legal entities) as intermediaries to facilitate, expedite or approve credit operations.
