The Municipal Health Secretariat of Bahia, reported that so far, in relation to Covid-19, 3,404 cases have been discarded, 128 people have recovered and there have been 15 deaths, 11 of which in the municipality of Salvador.
In an interview with the press and the G1 news portal, the Bahia State Health Secretariat (Sesab) confirmed, this past Wednesday afternoon (8), 35 more cases of contamination by the new coronavirus in the state, totaling 497 infected patients .
Previously, Sesab had already confirmed the 15th death by Covid-19 during the morning.
According to information published by the Bahia secretary of health, the number of Covid-19 counts all records from January until 12 pm this Wednesday. In all, 128 people have recovered and 50 people are hospitalized, 28 in ICU. So far, 3,404 cases have been discarded.
Covid 19 in Bahia – important updates
A new Covid 19 case number bulletin will be released later this afternoon, with a list of cities where new cases were registered.
Sesab clarified that in all, of the 15 deaths registered in the state, 11 occurred in Salvador. The remaining four deaths are distributed among Lauro de Freitas (1), Itapetinga (1), Utinga (1) and Adustina (1).
Deaths from the Coronavirus in Bahia
Many people are still not believing what is happening, however, the virus is simple and powerful.
Then, the first death in the state was reported on March 29. He was a 74-year-old man, residing in Salvador, who was hospitalized at the Hospital da Bahia, with other associated illnesses. He was hypertensive, a former smoker, dyslipidemic (with a high level of fat in the blood) and with radiological signs of pulmonary emphysema.
Continuously, as has been happening in the world, in Bahia, it was not so different, the second death was recorded on March 30.
However, it must be said that the patient was a 64-year-old man who was hospitalized at Hospital Aliança, a private unit in the capital of Bahia. The state secretary of Health, Fábio Vilas Boas, detailed that the patient was diabetic and hypertensive.
The secretariat recorded the third death from the new covid-19 last Thursday (2). The patient was an 88-year-old male, diabetic, with heart disease, using a pacemaker and a smoker until he was 40 years old. He had been in the Intensive Care Unit of Hospital da Bahia since March 23.
