Nubank is a privately held Brazilian company, headquartered in São Paulo (Rua Capote Valente, 39 – São Paulo, SP – 05409-000), and was founded on May 6, 2013. Its founders are David Vélez Vagner S. Teves Jr (current CEO in Brazil, Mexico and Argentina), Edward Wible and Cristina Junqueira.

In 2018, Nubank achieved unicorn startup status by achieving a market price valuation of 1 billion US dollars, being the third Brazilian company with this brand so far.
