The municipal and state governments of Rio de Janeiro announced this Friday (13) measures to prevent the spread of Covid-19, the new coronavirus. From Monday (16), events with crowds of people are prohibited and public classes are cancelled.
According to Mayor Marcelo Crivella, events that have already been authorized will have their permits canceled and the public will be reimbursed. Crivella published a decree that regulates the fight against coronavirus in the city.
The city hall also determined a stage of attention, the third in a scale of five levels of monitoring.
Governor Wilson Witzel created a Crisis Office. And he published a decree with the intention of avoiding crowds in the city. The measures, according to him, are valid for 15 days and will be reevaluated at the end of the period.
