So, it's already valid. According to the text, the measure aims to guarantee the provision of essential services to the population.

“Once the provision of essential services to the population is ensured, financial institutions and other institutions authorized to operate by the Central Bank of Brazil must adjust the hours of service to the public at their facilities while the public health risk situation arising from the new coronavirus (Covid-19)”, informs the resolution.

Changes

One of the changes defined in the publication of the resolution is the need for banks to notify their customers of all changes in opening hours at least thirty days in advance.

The guidance currently is that communication be carried out through channels with the customer, such as the application and websites. The Central Bank also determined that institutions post notice of these changes in a visible place in their branches.

These notices must inform customers about the limitations on the number of people inside the agency, as well as the public that has priority access to these physical spaces of the institutions.

Another determination published is that in the text it is about agencies no longer having the obligation to fulfill their minimum working hours for the public, which until then were five hours a day continuously.

The need for mandatory attendance in the period from 12:00 to 15:00 is also being eliminated.
