As well as the National School Meals Program (PNAE) they provide funds for the parents or guardians of enrolled students to receive foodstuffs.

The Alagoan senator from the PSDB party, Rodrigo Cunha, who reported the law, was “highly commendable” for his concern with feeding thousands of children and young people. He said that we are going through such a difficult time with the pandemic, and the role of the Public Power is to help vulnerable children and adolescents. Based on the data, and on the law, it is clear that society can only get out of this crisis with social projects.
