The state that concentrates the largest number of people infected by Covid-19 remains São Paulo with 4,620 thousand cases. The number of deaths is also higher, at 275. All regions, however, show that there has been an increase in the number of cases. Regarding deaths, only the Midwest had no growth, remaining with 12 registered deaths.
In the Southeast region, Rio de Janeiro, with 1,394 cases and 64 deaths; and São Paulo, with 4,620 cases and 275 deaths, stand out. In the North region, Amazonas has the highest number of cases, with 417, in addition to 14 deaths.
Ceará is the state that stands out in the Northeast, with 823 cases and 26 deaths. In the Midwest, the Federal District has the highest number of cases, there are 468 so far, with seven deaths. The southern states have a more similar number of cases. Paraná is the state in the region with the most cases, there are 438, and the state of Santa Catarina is the one with the fewest cases, 357.
In the completed investigations into the deaths, 228 were men and 160 were women. The group of people aged 60 and over are the majority, with 312 (86%). Deaths of people between 40 and 59 years old total 54. In the youngest group, in the age group between 20 and 39, there were 20 deaths. patients aged 20 to 39 died.
The risk groups that had the most deaths included those suffering from heart disease and diabetes. The Ministry of Health also records deaths in patients with lung disease, obesity, neurological disease, kidney disease, immunosuppression, liver disease, asthma and hematological disease.
