According to this week's Folha publication, Jair Bolsonaro ( still no party) fears a flood of lawsuits against the appointment of Alexandre Ramagem to the position of director general of the Federal Police. At the weekend, Bolsonaro decided to anticipate possible legal actions, Moro placed him in a complicated situation.
According to information from palace advisors, the president's assistants made informal consultations with ministers of the STF (Supreme Federal Court) about the risk of the nomination being blocked.
No one has any doubt that Ramagem is a very close friend of the Bolsonaro family and a friend of councilor Carlos Bolsonaro (Republicanos-RJ), the president's 2nd son.
Carlos has already begun to be investigated by the PF, as we see in the latest news, as one of the main organizers of a criminal scheme to spread fake news. His father wants Ramagem to head the corporation that investigates his own son's conduct.
The current director general of Abin (Brazilian Intelligence Agency), Ramagem was Bolsonaro's security chief in 2018, then a candidate for the Presidency of the Republic, when he approached Carlos.
