To the surprise of many, the number dropped below 200 new deaths after days in a row of highs. However, so far, the record since the beginning of the pandemic was broken on Thursday (23), with 407 deaths. The balance sheets on Friday and Saturday showed more than 300 deaths each.

Official bulletins point out that this Sunday, Brazil passed the mark of 60,000 confirmed cases – there are 61,888 in all. The previous day it was 58,509, an increase of 5.8%.
