The Municipality of Santo André took another important step towards the regulation of telephone antennas in the city, which could result in an internet signal 5G In the next years.

On the afternoon of this Monday (17), representatives of the Executive met with the companies that own and telephone operators, to discuss the Antenna Law.

On that occasion, the Antenna Law was presented to the participants, who could then have their doubts clarified. The Acto System, which will be used for licensing the towers and antennas, was also presented to the public.

For the Secretary of Development and Employment Generation, Evandro Banzato, the presence of the telephone companies and operators was relevant for the municipality to move forward.

“This important advance in the city is a work between the City Hall and the private sector that will place Santo André at the forefront and as a model for other cities in Brazil. This way we will have more and more Smart Cities, Industry 4.0, among many other technological and economic development actions in the city.

All this discussion encourages the actions of our Technological Park. All this interconnection only makes sense once we have the infrastructure ready to meet the demands in our city”, he said.

The Antenna Law provides for the installation of support infrastructure for telecommunications equipment, as well as Radiocommunication Transmitting Stations (ETR).

The direct action of the Municipality of Santo André in regulating the subject with a legislation that is already considered a reference in the country allows a permanent evolution and modernization of this telecommunications infrastructure.
